We’ll show you how to change the weapons your companion uses in-game below. Luckily, you have full control over your companion, from the armor they wear, the weapons they fight with and the perks that change their stats. However, it will likely need upgrading continuously, especially if you want them to keep up with you in battles.
Your companions in The Outer Worlds will always join you with their own weapon and armor by default.
